Kevin's Story about Paint By Number Ship Painting:

“Paint by number?”  by Kevin McClintic – February 2011

This is my second trade with Rosalie at bARTer Sauce.  This time, I traded a beautiful, old oil painting depicting a large sailing ship battling huge waves during a storm.

Kevin has traded with The Sauce once before.

Last time he brought me the Perpetual Motion Machine. This time he brought me an awesome painting of a ship and took pictures of every leg of the trip. This thing traveled at least two busses and one ferry - possibly more. I'd had some wine when I heard the story so I might not have gotten all the facts straight.

As in normally the case, I subjected Kevin to several of my "interview" questions.

Q: If you heard that sometimes people go into a room heated to 105 degrees and 40% humidity and do 90 minutes of yoga, what would you say?
A: No thank you.  My aerobics class at the YMCA is plenty for me.  No need for additional torture.

Q: What kind of potatoes are your favorite?

Kevin's story that came with the Perpetual Motion Machine:

On Thursday February 4, 2010 I attended the First Thursday Art Walk in Pioneer Square.  I had a particular destination in mind as I was on a mission!  I had this cool, little all-brass whatch-a-ma-thing that I was going to try to trade for something cool, or perhaps something much cooler at bARTer Sauce.
