Cory's Story that came with Wedding Day Disaster Barbie
For my story, I chose to share an embarrassing one. I took my son to the grocery store one day when he was around 2 or 3. He was at that stage where he still kind of wobbled along really slowly when he walked but he was grouchy and defiant and sometimes it was easier to be patient than try to carry him and suffer the inevitable tantrum.
The store had one of the setups with two sets of doors to leave. You went through one set and were in the tiny little area with bubble gum machines and then through another set to get out to the parking lot. My son was waddling behind me out the first set of doors and I reached behind me to take his hand before we went out the second set into the lot.
I didn't know that a guy had decided he was in a hurry to leave and had pushed his way in front of my son. I grabbed this young man firmly by his junk - it was just right there at hand level. I looked back and realized what I had done and you know how you sometimes get really pissy and defensive when you do something extremely embarrassing? I stood there for a good minute or two bitching at him about how he should be ashamed for cutting in front of a toddler. Then I grabbed my son and marched away all huffy like I hadn't just manhandled some strange young man.
I'd like to hear how HE tells the story!
NOTE From The Sauce: I would also like to hear how he tells the story, Cory. We all would. If you are this young man, or if you just want to pretend to be him, please leave a comment below and tell us your side of the deal.
