I have  a fettish for all things related to "doors". Oh the storys doors and there parts could tell!! All the sad good-byes and the glad hello's. Fairys fly thru keyholes and "borrow" things. Doors keep in and they shut out.
Doors and there parts have a significant meaning in my life and even though some things I wish to forget they keep me safe from harm.
I was physically & emotionally abused by my former husband and several boyfriends in my younger years. I've been locked in and locked out, thrown against them and have been left feeling ultimately vulnerable when they have been kicked in and having to wait for a someone to repair the frame and door to keep the "bad" things out! I've also made some of my best friends being welcomed into my door and have a faithful companion who walked into the threshold of my life to help me to feel safe and make me secure and happy once again for good! I REALLY want these door knob plates , I would display them on my studio wall, each with its own story of what I think they know or have heard. It would be balanced of course as life should be, you have to except the good with the bad and I choose to live in the good and surround myself with things that make me happy or just make me "feel". When you are trying to overcome being abused in any way, you find you've lost your sence of "feeling"  and these door plates make me "feel" something and have many storys to tell ,each one!
